The primary purpose of this position is to perform on and off equipment maintenance on aircraft egress systems, such as aircraft ejection ses, extraction and escape systems, egress components of jettison canopies, explosive components of escape hches and doors, and egress trainers. ARIZONA AIR NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED.
Prior to appointment into this position, selectee must be a current member of the Arizona Air Nional Guard, in a military position assigned to 162d WG. This is an excepted service position th requires membership in a compible military assignment in the employing ste's Nional Guard, required prior to the effective de of placement. Selectee required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. Applicants who are not currently a member of the Nional Guard must be eligible for immedie membership and employment in the Nional Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement. Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service. Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigion. May be required to successfully complete a trial period. Participion in direct deposit is mandory. Incumbent must possess and maintain a current ste driver's license. Must maintain the approprie security clearance of the position. May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours; overtime may be required. Must possess least 18 months experience or training in planning and layout of repair sequence and ability to complete modificion, repair, and installion of ordnance systems. Experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting malfunctions and determining remedies where complex relionships exist. Experience in hand tools and the use of a variety of measuring and test equipment. Experience in interpreting technical directions, blueprints, sketches, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer's specificions.
