CFII.com About Us CFII.com operates a growing fleet of modern light sport aircraft focused on flight training, time building, and advanced pilot development. Our fleet consists primarily of Tecnam aircraft powered by Rotax engines, and we are looking for a hands-on mechanic who takes pride in keeping aircraft safe, reliable, and available for students and instructors. Responsibilities Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Tecnam light sport aircraft Conduct 100-hour inspections, annual condition inspections, and preventive maintenance Troubleshoot and repair Rotax 912 engine systems Diagnose electrical, fuel, cooling, and avionics issues Maintain accurate maintenance records and logbook entries Coordinate parts ordering and inventory management Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, manufacturer guidance, and fleet maintenance standards Assist with aircraft recovery and AOG situations when required Help develop maintenance procedures and reliability programs as the fleet expands Qualifications Required FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate Experience maintaining piston aircraft with Rotax Engine Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Ability to work independently and manage maintenance schedules Valid driver's license Preferred Rotax maintenance experience Rotax Service Training certification Experience with Tecnam aircraft (P2008) Familiarity with Garmin avionics Experience supporting flight school or rental fleets Light Sport Aircraft maintenance experience Compensation Competitive hourly or salaried compensation based on experience Flight training and aircraft rental benefits may be available Opportunity to grow into Lead Mechanic or Director of Maintenance roles as the fleet expands Ideal Candidate We're looking for someone who understands that aircraft availability drives flight school success.
