Clarificion from the agency Open to members of the Colorado Army Nional Guard and those eligible to transfer into the COARNG. Duties Help Tests and troubleshoots aircraft rotor and/or propeller systems using special tools and test equipment. Diagnoses any malfunctions of rotor/propeller systems and makes necessary repairs. Performs troubleshooting of the powertrain systems using special tools and test equipment, diagnoses any system malfunctions and makes necessary repairs. Subjects rotor, propeller, and powertrain parts to a variety of nondestructive testing to identify imperfections not otherwise detected. Utilizing power hoists, special slings and balancing equipment, aligns and balances assembled propellers/rotor blades by making approprie linkage adjustments and by making both chordwise and spanwise weight adjustments to bring blades into true balance. After assembly or installion of the blade systems on the aircraft, makes final adjustments to balance, track, elimine vibrions and ensure proper revolutions per minute (RPM) by checking blade track utilizing special tracking equipment and making weight, trim tab, and control linkage adjustments. Performs operional checks of installed aircraft blades and associed sub-systems both inflight and during aircraft maintenance ground runs. Wears and utilizes approprie safety equipment and follows pertinent safety precautions. May be required to serve, if employed in an AVCRAD, on maintenance assistance and instruction teams (MAIT) and CONTACT Teams throughout supported area. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualificions Military Grades :
E-4 thru E-7 1. Specialized experience used to determine qualificions for the announced position. 2.
