Clarificion from the agency Open to members of the Colorado Army Nional Guard and those eligible to transfer into the COARNG. Duties Help Inspects and troubleshoots aircraft structures such as fuselage, tail, wings, cowlings and stabilizers. Repairs cracks in aircraft skin. Fabrices and fits pches to damaged areas as necessary to retain or restore original strength. Sets up, operes and maintains power shears, metal brakes, rolls, dimpling machines, drills, saws, he-treing furnaces, hardness testers, arc and oxyacetalene welders and other metal working equipment and tools of the trade. May paint, strip or stencil aircraft and/or components. Participes in the safety program for the sheet metal function. May assist in other functions within the Component Repair Shop in the accomplishment of mission requirements. May assist authorized firefighters in the performance of fire/ crash/rescue duties as required. Performs other duties assigned. Requirements Help Conditions of employment Selectee required to wear the military uniform. Membership in the Colorado Army Nional Guard or eligible to transfer into the COARNG. Must hold the grade of E-3 thru E-7. Submit all required documention. Participion in direct deposit is mandory. For positions requiring a security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) the applicant must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within one year of appointment.
Qualificions Military Grades :
E-3 thru E-7 1. Specialized experience used to determine qualificions for the announced position. 2. Experience in planning repairs, fabricing sheet metal components, and, applying prescribed repairs based on aircraft technical manuals, blueprints or other engineering documents. 2. Experience opering powered and unpowered shop tools. 3. Experience in using metals including aluminum alloys, stainless steel, titanium, magnesium, as well as composite merial. 4. Experience demonstring the applicion of relevant mhemical calculions and complex measuring instruments. Educion Educion cannot be substituted for Specialized Experience for this position.
