Airframe Technician SelectTech Services Corporation - 3.6 Colorado Springs, CO Job Details Full-time $35 - $43 an hour 2 hours ago Qualifications Equipment installation Rivets for fastening Mechanical assembly experience within aerospace industry Fastening Productivity software Full Job Description Are you a skilled Airframe Technician ready to work on cutting-edge aircraft in a dynamic and supportive environment? We're looking for detail-oriented, hands-on professionals to join our team and play a vital role in maintaining the safety, performance, and integrity of aircraft structures. As an Airframe Technician at SelectTech, you will be using your skills and expertise to assemble and/or create major assembly structures and minor part-fitting operations such as filing, sawing, burring, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, and reaming. You will be responsible for aligning parts on jigs and aerospace vehicles using templates and fixtures and measuring parts with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions. You also may be responsible for modifying incomplete and complete assemblies and incorporating the changes into the structure, and monitoring and verifying quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
What We're Looking For:
High School Diploma or its equivalent. 5-10 years' experience performing depot level structural installations/repairs on large military cargo aircraft or commercial equivalents. Ability to understand and interpret applicable technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications; ability to complete installations per technical drawings while maintaining edge distance and pitch. Progressive experience with structure assembly, minor part fitting techniques and repair and refinishing such as airframe corrosion removal/prevention, as applicable Ability to install various fasteners such as rivets and hi-locks. May require certain certifications in field. Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite Experience operating within an AS9100 Quality Management System. Effective communication skills in a fast paced, complex manufacturing environment Able to work as a part of a team or alone depending on complexity of installation. Must have own tools in good working order. FAA Airframe and Powerplant License, preferred, but not required. Relevant prior military service working on C-130 variant airframes. Solid judgement and decision-making skills. Strong organizational skills. Excellent verbal, written, and computer skills. Must be able to qualify for and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
