This role helps ensure all equipment remains safe, reliable, and operational to support daily aircraft and ramp operations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on ground support equipment. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, gasoline, and diesel-powered equipment. Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform electrical testing to identify repair needs. Service fuel farm equipment and coordinate required inspections and filter changes. Maintain accurate maintenance records and report major repair requirements. Order, receive, and track parts, materials, and maintenance supplies. Assist Line Service Technicians with ramp operations as needed. Read and interpret maintenance manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documents. Perform electrical troubleshooting on AC and DC systems. Complete equipment overhauls, component replacements, and structural repairs. Perform welding and metal fabrication as required. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience:
Minimum of 4 years of experience as a diesel and gasoline-powered vehicle technician. Ground Support Equipment maintenance experience preferred. ASE Certification preferred. Technical training in GSE maintenance preferred. Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems. Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and maintenance manuals. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment/random drug screenings. Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts as required.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions and around aircraft operations. Exposure to noise, chemicals, fumes, machinery, and moving equipment is expected. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally and 50 pounds frequently. Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, squatting, climbing, and lifting required.
Pay & Schedule:
Non-exempt position. Shift work required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Overtime may be required based on operational needs. No travel required.
Pay:
$37.00 - $40.00 per hour
