Job Description

Aviation Component Technician About Us Prestige Aero Services is an FAA-certified aviation repair station specializing in the overhaul, repair, inspection, and recertification of aircraft components. We are looking for a motivated, hands-on technician to join our growing team. Previous aviation experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate who is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and eager to learn. Position Summary The Aviation Component Technician will be responsible for the disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair, overhaul, and reassembly of aircraft components in accordance with maintenance manuals and company procedures. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who enjoys working with tools, troubleshooting mechanical assemblies, and restoring components to serviceable condition. Job Responsibilities Disassemble aircraft components and assemblies Perform deep cleaning of parts and components Inspect parts for wear, corrosion, cracks, and other defects Replace seals, O-rings, gaskets, bearings, and other consumable items Perform minor repairs and component refurbishment Paint and prepare components for final assembly Reassemble units according to maintenance manuals and work instructions Conduct functional testing and inspections Read and follow maintenance manuals, illustrated parts catalogs, and technical drawings Complete repair documentation and work orders accurately Maintain a clean and organized work environment Follow company quality and safety procedures Components Commonly Serviced Rinse valves Drain valves Water valves Aircraft lavatory components Bowls and related assemblies Pneumatic and mechanical aircraft components Various commercial aircraft accessories and assemblies Qualifications Mechanical aptitude and experience working with hand tools Ability to read, understand, and follow technical manuals and repair instructions written in English Ability to read and interpret exploded views, diagrams, and parts manuals Strong attention to detail Good organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Ability to lift and move components as required Preferred Qualifications Aviation maintenance experience MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) experience Automotive, diesel, HVAC, marine, industrial maintenance, or manufacturing experience Experience with component repair and overhaul Experience with painting, sealing, and precision assembly work Familiarity with FAA-regulated environments What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who enjoys taking things apart, understanding how they work, repairing them correctly, and putting them back together.
