218156 - Aircraft Structures Mechanic 3 Industry MAN Region FL-Florida City Saint Augustine State FL Rate Up to $48.90 DOE Duration 12 months Description Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple Aircraft Structures Mechanic 3's for a contract opportunity in Saint Augustine, FL.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
(REQUIRED
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
): o High school diploma/GED and 5-10 years of experience. o Ability to understand and interpret blueprints o Ability to comprehend engineering requirements and put them into practice o Independently perform complex, depot-level structural repairs and modifications. o Use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers) to verify parts. o Work with various materials, including aluminum and composites. o May mentor lower-level technicians.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Looking for an Aircraft Structures Mechanic 3 to perform a variety of operations to assemble and make major assembly structures such as fuselage panels and bulkheads, and structural subassemblies such as rudders, flaps, and stabilizers. Responsibilities Aligns parts on jigs using templates and fixtures. Performs such minor part-fitting operations as filing, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, and reaming. Measures parts with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions. May modify incomplete and complete assemblies to incorporate changes to structure. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
o Extensive experience with composites, structural repair, and precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers). o Ability to work as a lead technician, guiding lower-level employees, and working independently. o Must perform strenuous work, including lifting 25-50 lbs, working in confined spaces, and working at heights.
REQUIRED EDUCATION
High School Diploma/GED is required. School must be accredited.
WORK HOURS
Candidates must be available to work any shift. 1st shift 6am-4:30pm, 2nd shift 4:30pm-3am. Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date. Contact Kristie Hardage khardage@chiptonross.com
