What You'll Do:
Remove and reinstall engines on turbofan and turboprop aircraft. Perform engine runs and operational checks to ensure airworthiness prior to departure. Inspect aircraft in accordance with OEM Light or Heavy Maintenance manuals. Assess removed components for serviceability and document any discrepancies (squawks), then reinstall and test after inspection. Troubleshoot and repair all airframe systems (e.g., hydraulics, landing gear), including performing fuel tank sealing when necessary. Accurately document all completed work (sign-offs) in a clear and concise manner. Accomplish Service Bulletins, Repair Letters, and Airworthiness Directives as required. Read and interpret maintenance manuals, blueprints, technical manuals, and schematic diagrams when needed. Analyze mechanical issues, determine causes, and identify the best repair methods. Test and repair/adjust engines, engine controls, propellers, landing gear, hydraulic systems, and flight controls. Repair and inspect fuel, oil, oxygen, heating, cooling, and pressurization systems.
Position Requirements:
Active FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License. Prior Aviation Training (Military, Aeronautical Academy, Technical School, and/or an Aviation Associate's Degree). Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, walk, bend, stretch, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces. High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Characteristics:
Prior experience supporting Business/Corporate Aviation aircraft. Prior experience maintaining turbine engine aircraft.
