A&P Mechanic Peachtree City, GA 30269 From $18 an hour - Full-time, Contract From $18 an hour - Full-time, Contract Overview Join our dynamic team as an A&P (Airframe and Powerplant) Mechanic, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining and repairing a wide range of aircraft and aerospace equipment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge aviation technology, ensuring safety, compliance, and operational excellence. As an A&P Mechanic, you will utilize your mechanical expertise, electrical knowledge, and precision skills to diagnose issues, perform repairs, and uphold the highest standards of aviation maintenance. Your contributions will directly support our commitment to safety, quality, and innovation in the aviation industry. Responsibilities Perform scheduled inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and overhauls on aircraft airframes, engines, and related systems in accordance with FAA regulations and company policies. Use schematics, CAD drawings, AutoCAD files, and technical manuals to interpret complex aircraft systems and schematics for accurate maintenance procedures. Conduct root cause analysis to identify underlying issues affecting aircraft performance or safety. Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, ohmmeters, ammeters, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to ensure components meet strict specifications. Fabricate or modify sheet metal parts using welding, soldering, power tools, hand tools, and heavy lifting techniques to meet repair or assembly requirements. Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities. Adhere to Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and company policies to guarantee safe and compliant operations at all times. Qualifications Proven experience as an A&P Mechanic with strong mechanical knowledge in aviation maintenance. Proficiency in reading schematics, technical drawings (including AutoCAD files), and electrical wiring diagrams. Hands-on experience with power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, calipers, micrometers, ohmmeters, ammeters, and other precision measuring instruments. Knowledge of aircraft systems including avionics, airframe structures, powerplants, and electrical systems. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights or in confined spaces as required during maintenance tasks. Strong troubleshooting skills utilizing root cause analysis techniques to resolve complex mechanical or electrical issues efficiently. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and document maintenance activities accurately.
