Eisenhower National Airport (KICT) in Wichita KS. Bevan Aviation has been in the aviation industry since 1954. Bevan Aviation performs airframe and engine maintenance on single pistons to turboprop aircraft. Our aircraft maintenance team has decades of combined experience, operating out of a 10,000 square foot hangar. We are looking for an experienced A&P Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in maintenance, and repair of single, twin, and turboprop aircraft. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs, and ensuring that all safety protocols are followed. This is a great opportunity for a motivated individual to join a fast-paced and dynamic team.
Responsibilities:
Perform assembly, disassembly and repairs required in the completion of airframe overhaul, repair or modifications, including but not limited to removal, replacement and repair of parts of engines, airframes and systems. Responsible for helping licensed mechanics set up and tear down the equipment, tools, and supplies used during the repair of customers aircraft. Required to tow and move aircraft during the performance of maintenance duties. Assist in the cleaning of parts and components during the repair and assembly of aircraft. Perform other related duties as required.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma, or equivalent required. Must possess A&P license. Must meet the requirements of Airport Authority to be receive a badge and have no ramp restrictions.
Current Valid Driver's License Communication Skills:
Must be able to read, write and speak the English language and communicate with all levels of the organization.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. Occasional periods of walking, sitting, rotation, bending, pushing, pulling, and reaching. Occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs, and frequently lifting up to 10 lbs.
Work Environment:
Frequent exposure to general shop conditions, engine noise. Frequent exposure to aircraft exhaust, moving mechanical parts, lubricants, metals, and solvents. Frequent exposure to seasonal weather
