We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented GA Aircraft Technician to join our maintenance team here at
HARFORD AIR SERVICES
. We are a flight school and a maintenance shop servicing over 100 aircraft annually, from small repairs to complete overhauls. The ideal candidate will perform scheduled maintenance, unscheduled troubleshooting, repairs, and inspections on a variety of piston-powered and light turbine general aviation aircraft.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance & Repair:
Perform inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance on engines, airframes, landing gear, electrical systems and avionics systems.
Troubleshooting:
Diagnose malfunctions such as electrical, powerplant, airframe, flight control systems using hand tools, power tools, electrical meters and rigging equipment.
Inspections:
Conduct annual, 100-hour, and pre-buy inspections to determine airworthiness.
Documentation:
Maintain meticulous records of maintenance and repair work performed, including logbook entries and online work orders forms.
Compliance:
Adhere strictly to FAA airworthiness standards and company safety procedures such as AC41.13-1B and aircraft maintenance manual.
Collaboration:
Coordinate with the DOM, team members and pilots to minimize aircraft downtime and ensure safe, timely returns to service.
Tasks :
Remove, repair, and install parts as needed, such as engine components , propellers, flight controls, avionics, fiberglass and sheet metal.
Required Skills:
Airframe and powerplant (A&P) rating. Familiarity with Cessna 100, 200,300 series
- Piper 28,32 and 34 series
- Cirrus SR series
- Robinson helicopter.
Avionics and electrical troubleshooting experience. Experience with Garmin and other avionics suites. Ability to preform maintenance and repairs on Lycoming and Continental engines.
