Aircraft Mechanic

Under general direction of the lead shop mechanic, provide maintenance service at Andrews University. fleet of Piper aircraft. Qualifications summary Current FAA Aircraft Maintenance Certificate with both the Airframe and Powerplant ratings Inspection Authorization preferred Bachelors' degree, degree preferred Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing. Duties and responsibilities Perform aircraft maintenance and inspection work under the direction of the lead mechanic for Andrews Flight school aircraft. Pull aircraft in/out of hangar; help in tying down aircraft; fueling, assist in departmental activities; attend meetings; performs other duties as assigned. Supervisory responsibilities None Qualifications Current Aircraft Maintenance Certificate with both the Airframe and Powerplant ratings. Inspection Authorization-Perferred Bachelors' degree in aviation or related field degree is preferred. Prefer significant aircraft maintenance experience on a large variety of GA aircraft. Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written English.
