Aircraft Mechanic (A&P) - General Aviation Elite Air Service - Coldwater, MI Take pride in your work. We do too. Elite Air Service is looking for an experienced A&P Mechanic to join our team. We're not a high-volume churn shop. We're a hands-on, quality-first maintenance and refurbishment operation working on piston GA aircraft—many of them privately owned, classic, or high-performance machines that our customers truly care about. What Makes This Opportunity Different Steady, year-round work (no slow seasons) Mix of maintenance, repair, and refurbishment projects Work on private and classic aircraft—not just fleet production work Dedicated office team handles customers, parts, and paperwork so you can focus on maintenance Tight-knit shop with strong teamwork and support Work lakeside in a small-town community with less traffic, lower cost of living, and strong local pride Easy access to larger cities: Approximately 45 minutes to Fort Wayne, IN Approximately 1.5 hours to Lansing or Ann Arbor, MI What You'll Be Doing Perform maintenance, inspection, and repair on general aviation aircraft Complete 100-hour and annual inspections Troubleshoot airframe, engine, and system issues Read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and airworthiness directives Support refurbishment and upgrade projects Maintain clean, accurate logbook documentation Work both independently and alongside a skilled team What You Bring -
Required:
FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate Minimum 2 years of general aviation aircraft maintenance experience (Cessna, Piper, Beechcraft, etc.) Strong understanding of FAA regulations and maintenance practices Ability to troubleshoot and perform repairs across systems Own basic aviation tools Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Strong attention to detail and communication skillsPreferred:
Sheet metal, composite, or avionics experience Familiarity with logbook and maintenance tracking systems IA certification or willingness to pursue Experience with STC installations and field approvals Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Comfortable working on ladders, at height, and in confined spaces Willingness to work in variable shop conditionsCompensation & Benefits Pay:
