Job Description:
Inspects aircraft, including engine, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and structural systems. Records and documents work performed in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration regulations, Including Airframe and Powerplant license numbers. Repairs aircraft and supporting systems. Taxies aircraft and performs aircraft engine operational checks. Supports students through their aviation maintenance department internships. Looks after maintenance shop and shop equipment. Accomplishes preventative maintenance to aircraft and systems. Executes online maintenance tracking systems to support aircraft. May hire, train, evaluate and supervise student employees.
Short Job Description:
Completion of training program through a Federal Aviation Administration certificated Aviation Maintenance Technical School, or equivalent combination of experience in the field through on the job training. One year's relevant experience. Experience in general aviation inspection repair and maintenance. Federal Aviation Administration airframe and powerplant certificate.
