Sheet Metal Mechanic Job Description We are seeking skilled Sheet Metal Mechanics to perform repairs and modifications on UH-60 helicopters. The role involves fabricating parts according to prints, ensuring precision and maintaining close tolerances. Responsibilities also include fabricating and modifying sheet metal and structural components. An understanding of reading and interpreting aircraft blueprints, drawings, diagrams, and manuals is essential. Responsibilities Repair and modify UH-60 helicopters. Fabricate parts to precise specifications and maintain close tolerances. Fabricate and modify related sheet metal and structural parts and components. Interpret aircraft blueprints, drawings, diagrams, and manuals. Essential Skills 5+ years of experience in structural repair and modifications on aircraft. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Experience with structures, fabrication, installation, and repair. Additional Skills & Qualifications Military experience. Tools etched and shadowed. Work Environment Work is performed in a hanger setting, with a dress code of T-shirt, work pants, and steel toe boots. The standard working hours are Monday through Friday, from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lakehurst, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $38.00/hr.
