A&P Mechanics STS Technical Services 401(k) United States, York, Syracuse Jun 23, 2026 STS Line Maintenance is hiring A&P Mechanics in Syracuse, York. This is a part-time opportunity supporting line maintenance operations at our Syracuse station. The A&P Aircraft Maintenance Technician supports the daily maintenance needs of our airline customers and helps ensure safe, reliable, and on-time aircraft service. This role is ideal for a highly motivated aircraft maintenance professional with a current FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification, strong troubleshooting skills, and the flexibility to work in a fast-paced line maintenance environment. Position Summary STS Line Maintenance is looking for Aircraft Maintenance Professionals to help grow our line maintenance station in Syracuse, York. The A&P Mechanic will support maintenance operations for customer aircraft while delivering top-level service, quality, safety, and reliability. Job Responsibilities Report directly to the Line Maintenance Station Manager and Station Leads Work in close partnership with field airlines, flight crews, and Aircraft Maintenance Controllers Ensure aircraft are maintained to airworthiness standards prescribed by applicable regulations, airworthiness directives, company policies, and best practices Inspect, test, troubleshoot, adjust, and repair transport category aircraft airframes and engines using hand tools and test equipment Maintain the highest level of quality and integrity in all maintenance activities Adjust, repair, or replace defective components based on analysis of test results Follow aircraft maintenance manuals, schematics, handbooks, and other technical documentation Use precision instruments and equipment to measure parts for wear and determine repair or replacement requirements Perform additional duties as deemed necessary Work outdoors and in inclement weather as required Perform maintenance on Commercial and Large Regional aircraft, including but not limited to Airbus A320, CRJ, and Embraer 170 aircraft Qualifications Must hold a current and valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification with no history of infractions Recent A&P experience on turbine-powered aircraft considered a plus Own set of standard line maintenance tools required Calibrated and specialty tooling will be provided Self-motivated with a positive attitude Ability to work with minimal supervision Ability to stand, climb ladders and stairs, and lift 50 lbs. unassisted, with or without accommodations Must be able to pass a background check and drug and alcohol test Must be able to obtain Customs and Border Protection clearance Basic to mid-level computer and organizational skills required Experience working under an FAA-approved Part 145 repair station or Part 135 environment is highly desired Inspection Authorization license is a plus Ability to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications Ability to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning and/or damaged components Ability to troubleshoot and repair aircraft airframe and engine systems, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems Versatility and flexibility to work a part-time schedule that may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays Strong customer focus, communication skills, and work ethic Commitment to excellence Must be authorized to work in the United States Rate of Pay Rate of pay is determined by previous experience and training and will range between $32 and $42 per hour. Benefits Full-time employees receive PTO, health insurance, and 401K benefits. No benefits are available for part-time positions.
