  • Part-time, Full-time Sound Aircraft Services is an aviation company providing ground services to aircraft as a Fixed Based Operator (FBO).
As a Junior Line Service Technician, you will provide ground service to arriving and departing aircraft and execute professional, courteous service for crew members and their passengers. Responsibilities Provide a wide range of aircraft and customer support services. Marshal aircraft arriving or departing in our ramp area, greeting passengers and crew, fielding requested ground services and providing them. Fuel a wide variety of aircraft as requested. Provide shuttle service for passengers/crew as required. Provide aircraft with ground power units as requested. Assist passengers and/or crew with baggage/cargo handling as needed. Assist with general cleaning of hangars, clearing of debris from airport apron, building and customer areas routinely. Conduct daily/weekly quality control inspections and procedures for refueler vehicles and ground service equipment. Provide oil service for aircraft as requested. Perform wing-walking duties as required in marshaling and towing operations. Monitor tank quantity and refill aircraft fuel trucks at the fuel farm as needed. Receiving fuel farm inventory deliveries. Routine equipment maintenance and upkeep. Conduct all associated record keeping in a neat and accurate manner. Interact with others in a professional and respectful manner. Coordinate with other company departments and employees (Customer Service & Ramp Coordination) Communicate concisely via radio channels with coworkers and airport personnel Work with accuracy, clarity, and an eye for detail. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications We offer a full training program to ensure our employees have the ability to maintain our safety standards. Must pass all pre-employment drug/alcohol screens, background and security checks and prove eligibility for employment in the United States. High School Diploma required; college preferred. Experience with aviation ground handling preferred

  • Valid state drivers license required. Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. Ability to act under pressure and be adaptable to change on a constant basis. Professional verbal/written communication skills. Excellent listening and problem solving skills. Ability to work both as part of a team and independently. Physical Demands Primarily a physical position
  • exposure to elements, loud and dynamic work environment Requires operation of vehicles in excess of 50,000 pounds. Required to be able to lift 50-pound + luggage and cargo boxes in and out of aircraft and vehicles
  • some cargo holds being 8+ feet in the air Working Conditions Entails carrying out demanding tasks within a fast paced, physically challenging aviation environment.
Position consists of working both indoors and outdoors, with exposure to nature's elements and daily exposure to aircraft engine noise, exhaust fumes and fuel vapors, and fuel to skin contact.
