The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the airworthiness of aircraft by performing routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs in compliance with federal aviation regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of aircraft systems and industry standards. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on aircraft airframes and engines in compliance with FAA regulations, airworthiness directives, and service bulletins. Ensure complete and detailed documentation of work performed. Repair, replace, and rebuild aircraft structures, systems, and functional components, assemble, and install electrical, plumbing, mechanical, hydraulic, structural components, and accessories using hand tools and power tools. Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and engine-related issues. Use precision measuring instruments to assess the condition of components and ensure they meet specifications. Work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively with supervisors. Train and mentor junior mechanics or apprentices. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Skills & Qualifications FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license required. General aviation experience is preferred but not required. This position is subject to a pre-employment as well as periodic DOT drug screens. Possess organizational skills, active listening skills, time management, and attention to detail. A working knowledge of aircraft systems, tools, and diagnostic equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Avionics experience (Garmin, Avidyne, Aspen, STEC) is a plus. Experience on the following airframes and engines is a plus: Kingair series, Citation 5 series, Cessna CJ series, and Pilatus PC12, Cessna 208 Caravan, and Beech 1900C. Pratt and Whitney PT6A series, and Garrett TPE331 series. Shop provides specialty tooling. Mechanics are expected to be in possession of personal tools. Benefits 401(k) with company matching.
