AIRCRAFT SURVIVAL FLIGHT EQUIPMENT
REPAIRER, WG-4818-10, you will: This position is loced in the Aircrew Flight Equipment Function, Air Operions Division. The position provides diagnostic, analytical, calibrion, investigive research, troubleshooting, in-depth inspections, quality control inspections, certificion, testing, evaluion, and maintenance or overhaul of all Aircrew Flight Equipment and aircrew chemical defense equipment. Provides formal academic classroom and technical instruction to all pilots/aircrew on all initial and continuion instruction to ensure aircrew survival ability under peacetime or comb operions. Responds and participes as an Air Force aircraft mishap board representive in investiging flight support equipment failures/malfunctions associed with mishaps. Requirements Help Conditions of employment Nional Guard Membership is required. Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service. Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigion. May be required to successfully complete a trial period. Participion in direct deposit is mandory. Qualificions
NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED
This is an excepted service position th requires membership in a compible military assignment in the Nional Guard. Selectee required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.
MILITARY REQUIREMENTS
Service members in the rank up to SSgt are eligible to apply. Selected individual must be assigned to a compible military positionin the following AFSC upon de of hire:
AFSC 1P0X1.
The AFSC(s) require an aptitude of M40 and a physical profile of K222221. Aptitude scores can be checked on the vMPF or the Customer Service in the Force Support Squadron and physical profile in the medical squadron. Military grade inversion within the full-time work force is not permitted. The military grade of the full-time supervisor must equal or exceed the military grade of personnel supervised.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE
: Experience or training which demonstres the applicants knowledge of merials and equipment used in the line of work (helmets, torso harness assemblies, parachutes, survival equipment). Ability to understand written instructions and to use reference merials and manuals.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
: Must have least 18 months experience or training which has demonstred knowledge of aviion life support equipment. Experience reading and interpreting military manuals. Experience in supply procedures and property accountability. Experience collecting informion and presenting it to various sized groups. Experience in planning a functional shop maintenance program is essential. Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities (KSAs): Applicants are strongly encouraged to submit a separe sheet(s) addressing the Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs) and how they rele to work experience, educion or training. Skill in inspecting, repairing, replacing and issuing aircrew flight equipment.
