5/14/26 | The Aircraft Technician II is responsible for performing intermediate-level maintenance, repair, inspection, and troubleshooting on aircraft systems and components in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations, manufacturer specifications, and company policies. This position applies technical knowledge and practical experience to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, complete scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, and ensure aircraft are returned to service in a safe and airworthy condition. The Aircraft Technician II works independently on routine assignments and collaborates with senior technicians, inspectors, and supervisors on more complex maintenance tasks while maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to all safety and quality standards. This position is 2nd shift from
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This position is for the second shift Monday to Friday from 3:00 to 11:30 pm. Performs regular maintenance on corporate aircraft including cleaning, repairing, inspecting and maintaining the structural, mechanical, and electronic elements of the aircraft, replacing parts, measuring wear and assessing whether parts need repair or replacement. Ensures proper working condition of mechanical systems before flight. Develops and maintains records of maintenance, repairs, inspections, and any reports related to parts or services. Ensure all work is accomplished in accordance with companies RSQCM, manufacturers maintenance manuals, and FAA regulations. Consults maintenance manuals and specifications to identify correct operations and specifications for replacements or repairs. Installs new parts to replace or repair defective or recalled parts or to enhance the performance of the aircraft; performs these tasks efficiently and to specifications. Ensures proper function of aircraft operating systems via a variety of tests and tools. Identifies and resolves mechanical problems based on visual inspections or reports from pilots or crew. Collaborate, as needed, with airframe and power plant (A&P) mechanics or other appropriate personnel to repair engines and non-instrumental parts. Intermediate troubleshooting skills and wiring schematics Self-disciplined on routine tasks and perform them without supervision. Provide mentor support to other Tech 1 or Tech 2 employees. Run and Taxi knowledge and experience. Maintaining company standards and efficiencies. Performs other related duties as assigned Requirements and Skills Must be able to read, write and speak fluently in English. Thorough understanding of aircraft parts, systems, and mechanics. Thorough understanding of tools and testing methods used to ensure proper functioning of an aircraft and its parts, systems, and mechanics. Ability to read, comprehend, and adhere to manual instructions to resolve complex mechanical issues. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software used to complete and maintain records. Detail-oriented with mechanical inclination with superior and careful workmanship. Ability to perform and learn basic inspections and repairs. Sufficient oral and verbal communication skills, as needed, to discuss equipment malfunctions and complete reports. Travel is required.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required. 2-5 Years of aviation relative experience required. Must have valid drivers license. Must pass security 10-year background check and random drug and alcohol tests.
Aircraft Maintenance:
1+ years (Required) Corporate aircraft: .5 years+ (Required)
License/Certification:
Airframe and Powerplant (Required)
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand, lie, and kneel in awkward positions and spaces for a minimum of 8 hours a day. Must be able to perform work on scaffolding or ladders. Must be able to lift and pull objects weighing up to 70 pounds at a time. Manual dexterity and physical strength are necessary to operate tools or make adjustments and repairs. Must have visual acuity to inspect equipment and identify defects. Must be able to hear well enough to test sounds and identify functioning level of aircraft. Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions.
