A&P / Avionics Technician — General Aviation Piston Fleet Relocation Assistance Available — Denver, CO base, well suited for technicians relocating

Full-Time About the Client A well-established Denver maintenance shop supporting a varied piston-driven general aviation fleet, including Cirrus, Cessna, and Diamond aircraft. The team is compact, technically strong, and on an active growth path — currently building out turboprop capability and electric aircraft systems, with Part 145 certification on the near-term roadmap. This is a chance to get in early with a shop that's scaling up.
Compensation & Benefits Base Salary :
$32-$42/hour, commensurate with experience
Relocation Assistance :
Case-by-case Shift :
40 hrs/week on a 4x10 or 5x8 rotation depending on shop needs, with premium pay for overtime, weekend coverage, and AOG calls

You'll report to the Director of Maintenance in a shop where fleet variety and technical scope are expanding fast — a strong fit for someone looking to build real depth, not just punch a clock. Key Responsibilities Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance across an active GA piston fleet, balancing speed with precision Perform and sign off on annual and 100-hour inspections per 14 CFR Parts 43 and 91 Track down and resolve electrical and avionics faults using a structured diagnostic approach Take part in avionics upgrade projects ranging from straightforward GPS/radio installs to full glass-panel and autopilot integrations Handle light structural and sheet metal repairs in line with airframe-specific guidance Reference schematics, Service Bulletins, ADs, and OEM documentation to work through mechanical issues Keep maintenance records current and accurate in the shop's digital tracking system Maintain a clean, organized hangar and personal work area Participate in AOG coverage and rotating weekend shifts as needed Minimum Requirements Active FAA A&P certificate 3+ years of certificated hands-on experience maintaining GA piston aircraft Proven history signing off 100-hour inspections Working competency diagnosing electrical and avionics issues Familiarity with 14 CFR Parts 43 and 91 Personal set of standard aviation hand tools Strong documentation habits and clear team communication Able to lift 50 lbs, work in tight spaces, and operate safely around aviation chemicals and shop noise Ideal Qualifications Current Inspection Authorization (IA) Hands-on familiarity with modern avionics platforms (Garmin G1000, Avidyne, or similar) Experience with structural/sheet metal repair Exposure to turboprop maintenance Prior lead or supervisory experience Background in high-tempo fleet settings such as flight schools or training operations Elevate Your Career Apply for this A&P/Avionics Technician role and let Rio Staffing connect you with respected names across the aviation and aerospace space.
