In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining advanced surveillance systems, access control solutions, BDA/DAS communication systems, and low-voltage electrical components. Experience with Avigilon camera and access control platforms is highly preferred. Your expertise will ensure the safety and security of clients by delivering precise, reliable system installations and exceptional field service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge security technology while developing your skills in system design, networking, RF communication systems, and electrical work. Duties Install, configure, and troubleshoot Avigilon camera systems, Avigilon Access Control Manager (ACM), and associated video management software. Assist with the installation, testing, and maintenance of BDA/DAS (Bi-Directional Amplifier / Distributed Antenna System) equipment to support public safety radio communication systems. Perform signal testing, cable verification, and system commissioning for DAS infrastructure and RF-related components. Configure IP-based surveillance and access control systems including network switches, PoE devices, and remote connectivity solutions. Coordinate with AHJs (Authorities Having Jurisdiction), contractors, and project managers to ensure compliance with fire code and public safety communication requirements. Skills Experience with Avigilon Unity, Avigilon Control Center (ACC), and Avigilon ACM access control systems preferred. Familiarity with BDA/DAS systems, RF signal propagation, coaxial cabling, antenna installation, and public safety communication requirements. Understanding of NFPA, IFC, and NEC standards related to emergency responder radio coverage systems (ERRCS). Knowledge of fiber optic cabling, structured cabling, and network infrastructure related to surveillance and DAS deployments. Ability to use RF testing equipment, cable certification tools, and diagnostic software for system validation. Experience working in commercial, industrial, healthcare, educational, and multi-site environments with high-security requirements. Travel Requirement This position requires extensive travel, up to 100%, including overnight and multi-day assignments. Candidates must be comfortable working in a variety of environments and traveling frequently to customer locations throughout the region or nationwide as needed.
Pay:
$15.00 - $20.00 per hour
