The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in backflows and related plumbing code, along with the ability to troubleshoot backflow failures. This role requires hands-on experience, backflow testing/repairs certifications, and the capability to work effectively in various environments. The technician will play a crucial role in ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Duties Ability to perform accurate backflow inspections, testing/certifications, installations, & repairs on all makes, sizes, & models of backflow prevention assemblies. Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various construction tasks. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute projects accurately and efficiently. Apply basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and estimations on projects. Provide mentorship and training to junior technicians and assist with their professional development. Experience Proven experience in the backflow prevention field is essential. Ability to communicate with customers, contractors, city personnel, and any individual regarding backflow related topics. Backflow testing/repairs certifications. Familiarity with all makes and models of backflow assemblies & plumbing codes. Previous experience with backflow testing, installations, and repairs is required; candidates should be comfortable working in various weather conditions and environments. Troubleshoot backflow assembly failures, identify potential backflow conditions in plumbing systems, and recommend solutions. A valid drivers license is mandatory.
