Job Summary:
- The candidate is highly experienced in fire alarm service and inspections. They have advanced skills at communicating and managing others. They also have a good understanding of the hardware associated with special systems equipment. Understands basic theory behind fire systems operations and can assist in troubleshooting both installation and operation.
Responsibilities:
- + Perform service and inspections based on
NFPA 72 & NFPA 70
requirements. + Perform troubleshooting and describe them to owners and service managers for repairs. + Monitor and assure progress and completion of all assigned tasks. + Utilizing following tools: Multimeter, Tone Generator, Battery Tester. + Complete time sheets, service work orders, and other paperwork required for this position in an accurate and timely manner. + Provide service support on existing installations ensuring systems continue to meet existing building codes. + Assist Sales team during estimating phase including potential product or system demonstrations. + May perform inspections from man lifts at elevations of 30 to 40 feet from ground level, as necessary. + Ability to obtain all required certifications (NICET Fire I and NICET Fire II). + Other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:
- + Minimum of a high school diploma.
Preferred Qualifications:
- + 7+ years of Fire System service and inspections work experience required.
NFPA 72, NFPA 101, NFPA 70, NFPA 25, IBC.
+ An understanding of NFPA and other related fire and life safety codes. + Certifications NICET Fire I and/or NICET Fire II + Certifications Edwards and/or NotifierPhysical Demands:
