In this role, you'll install, maintain, and troubleshoot fire alarm systems while ensuring full compliance with industry standards and local codes. Key Responsibilities Install fire alarm systems, including wiring, devices, and control panels, according to engineering specifications and all applicable codes. Perform routine maintenance, inspections, repairs, and troubleshooting of fire alarm systems. Conduct testing and commissioning of new and existing systems to ensure optimal performance. Complete accurate service reports, testing logs, and compliance documentation. Deliver excellent customer service by clearly communicating system status and addressing concerns. Stay current with NFPA standards and the latest fire protection codes and regulations. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and team members to complete projects on time and within budget. Mentor and support junior technicians. Qualifications NICET Level I-IV certification preferred (with hands-on fire alarm experience). 3+ years of programming experience preferred. Structured cabling experience preferred. Strong knowledge of fire alarm system design, configuration, and troubleshooting. Ability to diagnose issues quickly and minimize downtime. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. High attention to detail and commitment to quality. Physically capable of working at heights, in confined spaces, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
