Job Description
Fire Alarm Service Technician - Yuma, AZ Fuze HR Solutions Inc. is actively hiring a Fire Alarm Service Technician in the Yuma, Arizona area for an excellent opportunity with a growing leader in the fire protection and life safety industry. We are looking for experienced technicians who take pride in quality workmanship, troubleshooting, customer service, and protecting lives through reliable fire alarm systems. Location Yuma, AZ Pay Rate $30 - $45 per hour (based on experience, certifications, and qualifications) Position Overview The Fire Alarm Service Technician is responsible for the inspection, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of fire alarm systems in commercial and industrial environments. This role is critical in ensuring systems remain code compliant, operational, and ready to perform when needed most. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections and testing of fire alarm systems including control panels, detectors, horns, strobes, and annunciators
- Troubleshoot and repair fire alarm system malfunctions involving wiring, circuitry, devices, and software
- Respond to service calls and emergency requests to restore system functionality
- Perform preventative maintenance including cleaning, calibration, and battery replacement
- Prepare detailed inspection and deficiency reports in compliance with NFPA standards
- Document service activities, work orders, parts usage, and customer interactions accurately
- Work closely with service coordinators and sales teams to support repair estimates and project planning
- Interact professionally with customers to explain findings, recommendations, and system improvements
- Maintain a safe, organized, and professional work environment Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Technical or vocational training in fire alarm systems preferred
- 5+ years of Fire Alarm Technician experience preferred
- NICET certifications strongly preferred
- State fire alarm licensing preferred or ability to obtain
- Experience installing, servicing, and repairing fire alarm systems in commercial or industrial settings
- Strong understanding of NFPA 72 and applicable fire/life safety codes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and working in industrial and outdoor environments
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces when needed
