This role actively participates in the overall installation of projects as directed by Fire TI leadership and management. The Fire TI Technician is a vital component of the project, performing the installation of devices, running wiring, and completing basic construction tasks to ensure the successful completion of client projects. The role is expected to demonstrate an understanding of electrical regulations, construction requirements, material and device functions, as well as industry standards. Responsibilities include demolition, construction rough-ins, wire pulling, project preparation, and clean up.

Essential Functions:

Coordinates with the Lead/Foreman of the project to ensure the successful installation of project components. Understands how to read and interpret drawings for project installation. Performs good housekeeping while on a project site, keeping the work area clean and organized. Operates and understands the use of all tools and equipment needed for the project. Adheres to all workplace safety expectations, regulations, standards, and practices. Displays an understanding of the functionality of the fire life safety systems installed. Maintains punctuality and regular attendance. 0-2+ years in construction and/or low voltage installation High school diploma (or equivalent) Valid California Driver License and proof of auto insurance. Must be able to work weekends, nights, split shifts, and rotating shifts (if needed). Maintain punctuality and dependable attendance

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

Ability to drive for 2+ hours in a work shift/day, daily. Ability to drive, walk, bend, stoop, hear, and speak, daily. Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments, under all temperature variations. Work environment may be construction sites, commercial buildings, and multi-tenant properties.
