What is LA Techs? LA Techs is a privately-owned, growing team providing full-service technology consulting across the greater Los Angeles area, but focusing on Sherman Oaks, Beverly Hills, and Malibu. Serving high net-worth clients and their businesses since 2003, we pride ourselves on our personalized approach, prompt support, and discretion. We are looking to hire an Integration Technician with extensive alarm and security system experience to bring onto our team. You'll be our lead technician for all aspects of alam wiring and programming. This is a long-term career opportunity for someone who is experienced, intelligent, independent, and customer service oriented. A qualified candidate has... Immediate availability during normal business hours, and flexibility after hours At least 2+ years in the security and alarm installation industry as an in-the-field installer A reliable set of wheels and a clean driving record A high level of attention to detail An ability to describe in layman's terms how alarm systems, home networks, and other home technology systems operate Ability to carry 50+lbs Installing/troubleshooting/programming low voltage systems including CCTV, access control, security, etc. Experience programming Elk systems Experience teaching clients on system use ESA CAT Level 1 or Level 2 are a plus Necessary etiquette and tact to work in high-end residential environments A great attitude and willingness to learn and grow with our company Ability and willingness to travel to Sherman Oaks, Malibu, and Beverly Hills (we cannot consider candidates who are not in proximity to our clients) Responsibilities will include... Taking the lead on alarm wiring and programming in new construction residential projects Advising our engineering and design team on alarm and security best practices Staying current on changing technology in the alarm, surveillance and access control fields Running low voltage cabling in new residential and commercial spaces Configuring AV racks Working with Control4 to program home automation systems Setting up SONOS, Lutron, Nests, Aqualink Installing TVs, Speakers, Amps, Cameras and Access Points About Us We are successful because we consistently impress our clients with our professionalism and streamlined efficiency, making it natural for them to refer us to their friends and colleagues.
