Responsibilities Install, troubleshoot, inspect, and maintain fire alarm systems, sprinkler systems, sensors, and low voltage wiring in compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, system design documents, and CAD drawings to accurately execute system installations and modifications. Conduct construction inspections to ensure systems are installed according to specifications and safety standards. Perform field service activities including testing sensors, alarms, and control panels; adjusting system components; and documenting all work performed. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during installation and repair tasks. Collaborate with project teams on system design improvements and provide technical support for alarm system sales initiatives. Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, system modifications, and service reports for compliance purposes. Requirements (Desirable) Proven experience as a service technician or in a related construction or fire alarm installation role. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience related to fire alarm systems, sensors, low voltage wiring, schematics, and power tools. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and CAD drawings accurately. Familiarity with NEC standards and electrical codes applicable to fire safety systems. Hands-on experience with fire sprinkler fitting or fire alarm sales is a plus. Knowledge of construction inspection processes and field service procedures. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in high-pressure situations. Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients professionally.
