We specialize in design, engineering, and installation of Fire/Life Safety, Security Intrusion, Voice & Data, CCTV, Access Control, and more. Job Summary Programming Technicians work in line with Project Managers and Coordinators to complete installation contracts. The Technician is responsible for Programming, Troubleshooting, Commissioning, as well as Coordinating with other trades on the project site. Responsibilities for Programming Technician The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Fire Alarm programming, service, and installation The candidate must have strong technical skills and training or certificates in advanced Notifier programming, Onyx, network and others Coordination with the local office team on status on projects Assist in training of customer on new equipment provided in the contract Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics Knowledge of local, state, and national codes and regulations Ability to work flexible hours and travel as needed Responsibilities Program and service fire alarm systems in commercial and residential buildings Provide technical support to the project team and clients Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets Conduct site surveys and ensure compliance with local, state, and national codes and regulations Troubleshoot and repair Fire Alarm systems Installation and Termination of Control Panel Train and mentor junior programmers and technicians Participate in project meetings and provide technical guidance to project team members Assist the Service Department with On-Call Rotation General Qualifications for Programming Technician California Blue Card Factory Certification High School Diploma/GED Valid Driver's License with good driving history Physical and Environmental Demands Sitting
