Security Systems Installation & Service Technician Diversified Automation Full-Time | Monday-Friday |
Overtime & On-Call Rotation Required Pay:
$30-$35 per hour (DOE) About Us Diversified Automation Security Systems & Solutions installs and services access control, CCTV, intercom, electric locking hardware, and automated gate systems for commercial, healthcare, industrial, educational, and government facilities. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced, self-motivated Security Systems Installation & Service Technician with strong troubleshooting skills and a proven background in low-voltage security systems. This is not an entry-level position. Candidates must be able to work independently, diagnose problems efficiently, and deliver professional service with minimal supervision. Responsibilities Install, service, troubleshoot, and program: Access Control Systems CCTV/Video Surveillance Systems Video Intercom Systems Electric Locking Hardware Automated Gate Operators Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation. Install and terminate low-voltage cabling. Diagnose system failures and provide effective solutions. Complete service reports and documentation using company-issued tablets/laptops. Maintain company vehicle, tools, and inventory. Provide professional customer service and communicate clearly with clients and team members. Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergency service. Requirements Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience installing and servicing access control, CCTV, intercom, and low-voltage security systems. Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Experience with electric lock hardware and automated gate systems. Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively. Proficient with hand tools, power tools, test equipment, and basic computer applications. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
