This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of automotive electrical systems, install cutting-edge alarm and audio solutions, and ensure each vehicle meets our high standards for quality and performance. Your expertise will directly contribute to customer satisfaction by delivering reliable, professional installations that elevate the driving experience. Duties Install, troubleshoot, and repair car alarm systems, including remote starters and security features, ensuring seamless integration with vehicle electrical systems. Set up and configure premium car audio systems, including speakers, amplifiers, subwoofers, and multimedia interfaces. Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately install and diagnose system issues. Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive repair tools to perform precise installations and repairs. Conduct vehicle diagnostics to identify electrical or mechanical issues related to alarm or audio systems; perform necessary repairs or adjustments. Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and provide expert advice on system options and maintenance. Maintain detailed records of installations, repairs, and inspections while adhering to safety protocols and quality standards. Requirements Proven dealership experience or service technician background in automotive electrical systems is highly preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive maintenance tools. Familiarity with automotive schematics, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), powertrain components, transmissions, alignment procedures, and diesel engine repair is a plus. Experience working with GM vehicles or similar makes is advantageous but not mandatory. Knowledge of automotive diagnostics software and auto estimating procedures enhances your effectiveness in this role. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly. Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and schematics accurately for complex electrical installations. Mechanical aptitude combined with a proactive approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving in automotive repair environments.
