This position will be responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing fire alarm systems. While the main function of the position is fire alarm related this position will sometimes include all aspects of low voltage. Experience in other low voltage system such as burg alarm, home theater, access control etc. a plus. NICET level 2 certification will be required. Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair fire alarm systems. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, system design documents, and CAD drawings to accurately install and service fire alarm systems. Perform system testing. Collaborate with construction teams and field service crews to coordinate system installations and upgrades within building projects. Maintain records, update system plans for as built etc. Skills Strong knowledge of reading plans, schematics, and system design documents. Hands-on experience with field service operations involving sensors, alarms, power tools, hand tools, and electrical testing equipment. Familiarity with low voltage wiring standards, NEC regulations. Experience troubleshooting control panels, sensors, wiring and communication devices. Prior experience as a fire alarm technician is required. Strong communication skills are essential for customer interaction during service calls. NICET level 2 required. Experience with Honeywell based systems. Ability to work from ladders, elevated lifts etc.
Pay:
$25.00 - $40.00 per hour
