Job Description

Experience:
Senior Level Salary:
$40 - $50 per hour Job Details - We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Fire Alarm Designer to join our thriving team. This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to showcase your expertise in fire alarm system design within commercial and industrial scale projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and reviewing fire alarm design layouts, schematics, and drawings.
Responsibilities:
Develop detailed fire alarm system designs, including layout plans and schematics, based on project specifications and applicable codes. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure the fire alarm systems are integrated seamlessly into the overall design. Review and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and construction drawings. Conduct site visits to verify conditions and installation during construction. Provide technical support to the installation team during the construction phase. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of fire alarm system technologies, installation methods, and relevant codes and standards. Participate in project meetings and provide updates on the fire alarm system design progress.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or relevant work experience. Minimum of 5 years of experience in fire alarm system design for commercial and/or industrial scale projects. Proficiency in design layout, schematics, and drawing review. Proficiency using AutoCAD and other design software. Strong knowledge of fire alarm codes and standards. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in work. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with an ability to collaborate effectively with various team members. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Proven track record of successful fire alarm system design and implementation. Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) or NICET Level III certification in Fire Alarm Systems is a plus.
