Fire Alarm Service Technician (NICET
II CERTIFIED TECH ONLY
) Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Fire Alarm Service Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining fire alarm systems to ensure compliance with applicable safety standards and regulations. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of commercial projects while contributing to the reliability and effectiveness of life safety systems. Key Responsibilities Install, service, and perform basic programming of fire alarm systems and related devices Conduct inspections and testing of fire alarm and life safety systems Troubleshoot and repair system malfunctions and deficiencies Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, service calls, and completed work Ensure compliance with industry codes and standards Provide excellent customer service and technical support to clients Work with low-voltage electrical systems and associated equipment Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience working with fire alarm systems NICET Fire Alarm Certification Level II or higher required. Strong knowledge of NFPA 72 standards and applicable electrical codes Experience troubleshooting, servicing, and maintaining fire alarm systems Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Email Strong communication and customer service skills Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record Ability to pass a background check Physical Requirements Ability to climb ladders and work at varying heights Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly compensation based on experience and certification level Health, dental, vision, and life insurance 401(k) retirement plan with company match Paid time off Work Environment Field-based role requiring travel to customer sites and project locations.
