Security Technician (JOB ID 2146)

OneSparQ is looking for a Security Technician for a growing IT Services organization supporting critical healthcare environments throughout Washington, DC. This is a great opportunity to get in the door while the organization continues to expand its technology and security infrastructure. The ideal candidate will support essential security systems, including access control, video surveillance, and other low-voltage technologies, helping ensure reliable operations across healthcare facilities.

Responsibilities:

Maintaining security systems and keeping them active Fielding tickets as they come in that need to be fixed Staying active, avoiding issues when possible, and having a proactive mindset with preventative maintenance checks on safety systems Serves as the primary point of contact for any security system issues within the hospital, including door/access control failures, camera issues, and other troubleshooting needs. 90% break-fixing while installing equipment Driving a company vehicle

Required Skills:

5+ years of experience working with low-voltage systems, including access control, intrusion detection, video surveillance, or similar security systems Strong understanding of circuits, IP cameras, and wiring/configuring door hardware and security devices Skilled in installation, troubleshooting, and break-fix repairs

Additional Skills:

Experience with Genetec Galaxy Systems, access control systems Networking background #priority

Pay:

$62,400.00 - $93,600.00 per year
