Job Description

About Us:
IMC Fire Protection has proudly served as Northern Florida's top provider of fire protection services since 2018. Providing full-service fire protections services designed with hotels, resorts, manufacturing facilities, and military projects in mind, we offer one-stop solutions that include fire sprinkler installation, inspections and service, fire alarm installation, inspections and service, backflow preventer inspections, repairs, and more.
Role Overview:
Responsible for supervising and coordinating the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems on commercial and/or industrial job sites. This role ensures work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and direct sprinkler fitters and apprentices on job sites; assist with installation as needed Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily work activities to meet project deadlines Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications Ensure installation complies with NFPA standards, local codes, and company policies Coordinate with general contractors, other trades, and inspectors Monitor material usage and ensure proper handling and storage of equipment Conduct site safety meetings and enforce safety regulations Inspect work for quality control and resolve issues as they arise Maintain accurate daily reports, timekeeping, and project documentation Train and mentor crew members to improve performance and skill development
Required Skills and Experience:
High school diploma or GED 5+ years of experience in fire sprinkler installation; prior leadership experience preferred
Competencies:
Strong knowledge of fire protection systems, piping, and installation methods Familiarity with NFPA codes and local regulations Ability to read blueprints and construction documents Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Working Conditions:
Indoor and outdoor environments with exposure to high and low temperatures Exposure to noise and dust Must be able to bend, climb, and work at heights and in confined spaces Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, or working in awkward positions
