Join our dynamic team as a Fire Alarm Technician and become a vital part of ensuring safety and security across commercial and industrial facilities. In this energetic role, you will install, inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot fire alarm systems, sensors, and low-voltage electrical components. Your expertise will help protect lives and property by ensuring fire alarm systems operate flawlessly. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in fire alarm system design, construction inspection, and field service. Duties Install, test, and commission fire alarm systems according to schematics, blueprints, and system design specifications Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on fire alarm panels, sensors, and related low-voltage electrical components Read and interpret schematics, CAD drawings, and construction plans to ensure accurate system installation Test sensors, alarms, power supplies, control panels and associated components to verify system functionality Perform system testing to verify sensor functionality, alarm activation, and communication with fire sprinkler fitting systems Collaborate with construction teams during new builds or renovations to ensure fire alarm systems meet safety codes and specifications Provide field service support by diagnosing problems quickly and implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized testing equipment to complete field service tasks efficiently. Requirements Proven experience as a fire alarm technician or service technician with knowledge of fire alarm systems and low-voltage electrical work Strong mechanical knowledge coupled with the ability to read blueprints, schematics, and CAD drawings Familiarity with construction inspection processes and fire sprinkler fitting is highly desirable Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, sensors, alarms systems, and electrical troubleshooting techniques Knowledge of NEC standards related to fire alarm wiring, sensors, and low-voltage systems Ability to interpret schematics accurately and apply system design principles in the field Excellent communication skills for working with clients, contractors, and team members during installation or service calls Valid electrical experience with a focus on safety compliance in construction environments Join us in delivering top-tier fire safety solutions!
