Job Description

We are partnered with an industry-leading fire protection and life safety company that is actively seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Designer to join their growing team. The Fire Sprinkler Designer will be responsible for designing and developing fire sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial, and institutional projects while ensuring compliance with applicable NFPA codes, local regulations, and customer requirements. Responsibilities Design fire sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA standards and local codes. Prepare detailed sprinkler layout drawings using AutoCAD, HydraCAD, and/or AutoSPRINK. Perform hydraulic calculations and system analysis. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and AHJs throughout project lifecycles. Conduct site visits, field measurements, and attend project meetings as needed. Review project specifications, architectural drawings, and construction documents. Assist with permitting and submittal packages. Ensure projects are completed accurately, efficiently, and within established timelines. Qualifications 3-5 years of fire sprinkler design experience preferred. NICET Level I or higher in Water-Based Systems Layout. ESFR design experience preferred. Proficiency with AutoCAD, HydraCAD, and/or AutoSPRINK. Strong understanding of NFPA codes and standards. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to travel to job sites and attend meetings when necessary.
