Job Description:

We're currently seeking an SCA - Electronics Technician to perform preventative and corrective maintenance on physical access control systems ( PACS ), CCTV Systems, and IDS systems including access keypads, card readers, sensors, control panels, application server configuration, low-voltage wiring, Camera systems, and IDS fence systems on the Ft Leavenworth military installation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

: + This position requires a strong technical background in electronic security systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to safety, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to maintaining mission-critical security systems that protect personnel, property, and sensitive information at Ft. Leavenworth. + Performs nonroutine and occasionally heavy labor tasks related to onsite physical access control systems ( PACS ), CCTV Systems, and IDS systems including access keypads, card readers, sensors, control panels, application server configuration, low-voltage wiring, Camera systems, and IDS fence systems on the Ft Leavenworth military installation + Operates trucks, hand tools, light (1-man) power tools, and aerial man-lifts + Maintains appropriate logs of activities + Tests, calibrates, repairs, and modifies control and instrumentation systems at onsite locations under general supervision + Assignments are undertaken independently on a regular basis + Prepares required field and office reports of various activities and findings + Initiates basic reports and/or establishes and maintains logs and records. + Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate

REQUIREMENTS

: + 3+ years of experience working on security systems + Ability to obtain access to base + Valid driver's license + Must be a US citizen + Ability to be on call as needed for service order work after hours and weekends.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

: + Relevant background in low voltage electronics, physical security, access control, maintenance, and repair activities + Minimum high school diploma or equivalent

PHYSICAL REQ UIREMENTS

: + Ability to work at high elevations + Lift and carry 30+ pounds + Pull, stand, and work in confined spaces; crouch for long periods of time; and work under inclement cold weather conditions
