Duties Supervise Installs, troubleshoot, and maintain access control systems, CCTV cameras, sensors, fire alarms, and other security devices. Conduct system design assessments and create schematics for new installations or upgrades. Perform field service tasks including cabling, low voltage wiring, and electrical connections following NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Utilize remote access software to monitor and manage security systems remotely. Engage with clients to understand their security needs, present tailored solutions, and promote alarm system sales. Conduct site surveys for construction or renovation projects to ensure proper integration of security components. Document all work performed through detailed reports and update system schematics as needed. Requirements Proven experience as a service technician in security or telecommunication systems with a strong mechanical knowledge base. Solid understanding of computer networking, computer hardware, and system design principles related to surveillance and access control systems. Hands-on experience with
CCTV, IDS
(Intrusion Detection Systems), sensors, fire alarms, and low-voltage electrical wiring. Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and construction plans accurately. Familiarity with locksmithing techniques and remote access software platforms. Strong electrical experience including cabling techniques using hand tools and power tools; knowledge of NEC standards is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to work independently in the field during service calls or installations. Effective communication skills for engaging with clients about security system features and sales opportunities. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; willingness to travel locally for site visits and installations.
