Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Low Voltage Technician specializing in Camera, Security, and Fire Installations to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low voltage systems across various commercial and residential sites. Your expertise will ensure the safety, security, and operational efficiency of our clients' facilities by delivering top-tier service and technical support. Duties Install, configure, and test security systems including CCTV surveillance, alarm systems, access control, fire alarms, sensors, and IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems) Interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately plan system layouts and cabling routes Troubleshoot equipment issues related to low voltage wiring, computer networking, hardware components, and system design flaws Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of security equipment to ensure optimal performance Utilize hand tools and power tools safely for cable routing, device mounting, and system upgrades Support remote access software setup for remote monitoring and system management Collaborate with construction teams during new builds or renovations to integrate low voltage systems seamlessly into building infrastructure Skills Strong knowledge of computer networking principles and telecommunication systems relevant to security installations Mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings accurately Hands-on experience with CCTV cameras, sensors, fire alarm systems, alarm & access control systems, and surveillance equipment troubleshooting Proficiency in electrical blueprint reading and electrical experience related to low voltage wiring and cabling techniques Familiarity with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards for safe electrical practices in installations Ability to perform system design assessments and provide technical troubleshooting support effectively Experience with locksmithing or security lock hardware is a plus Skilled in using hand tools such as drills, wire strippers, crimpers, screwdrivers, along with power tools like drills and saws for installation tasks Knowledge of remote access software for system monitoring and management purposes Construction experience is advantageous for integrating systems into new or existing structures Excellent communication skills for customer interaction during field service calls Join us if you're passionate about security technology and eager to grow your expertise in a vibrant environment that values innovation.
