Job Description
Access Control Technician
Job DescriptionA client of Insight Global is seeking a dependable Security Installation Technician to support the installation security and access control systems at customer sites.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Access Control Systems and Alarm systems and takes pride in clean, professional installations.
Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, mount, and position access control devices, including door hardware, card readers, keypads, control panels, and alarm componentsInstall and connect intrusion alarm systems, including sensors, motion detectors, contacts, and control panelsTerminate and connect devices to existing low-voltage cabling, power sources, and network drops as requiredConfigure access control and alarm system settings, such as user permissions, zones, schedules, alerts, and arming/disarming parametersTest installed systems to ensure proper operation, signal integrity, and system responsivenessLabel and document all installed equipment and cabling according to company standards and project requirementsTroubleshoot basic access control, alarm, and connectivity issues during installation and initial testingCollaborate with project managers and lead technicians to complete installations on schedule and within scopeMaintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment at customer sitesFollow all safety guidelines, manufacturer specifications, and installation best practices
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Compensation:
$20/hr to $25/hr.Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
