Primary Purpose of Position This is a Specialty Trades Technician at the contributing level with a specialty in fire sprinkler service, inspection, and maintenance. Tasks may include maintenance, repair, placement, fabrication, installation, alteration, and construction of facility components in the assigned shop or core maintenance.
Minimum Education/Experience Required Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalency and two (2) years of experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Essential Job Duties Inspect, repair, and maintain campus fire sprinkler systems, including fire pump maintenance and testing. Manage contracted fire sprinkler vendors' work as required. Produce accurate and relevant documentation on all work performed. Perform work in compliance with University and NC State standards. Other Work Responsibilities Assist fire alarm technicians as requested. Support and adhere to the University's policies and procedures. Attend required meetings and training classes. Work as a team member at all times.
