NICET I REQUIRED
Experience with fire alarm inspections and maintenance strongly preferred;
NICET II
certified upon 90 days of hire, required . Novant Health is seeking a full-time Fire Alarm Technician to join our team at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC . In this vital role, you will support our life safety program by assisting with regulatory testing, inspection, and maintenance of fire alarm systems and related equipment across Novant Health facilities. What We're Looking For:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED, required.
Experience:
1 year experience working with fire detection and signaling systems, required. Healthcare experience, preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) level I minimum, required. National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) level II required within 90 days of hire, required.
What You'll Do:
Key Responsibilities:
Perform regulatory-required testing and maintenance on fire alarm systems Work under the direction of the Fire Alarm Technician Sr. Ensure life safety systems are fully operational and compliant with applicable codes Maintain accurate and timely documentation for all inspections and repairs Support safety for all patients, visitors, and team members within the facility Collaborate effectively with a team of technicians across multiple sites
