We are seeking an experienced Installation Specialist / Emergency Vehicle Upfitter to join our growing team. This position is ideal for candidates with experience installing and integrating public safety equipment in police, fire, EMS, and municipal vehicles. Responsibilities Install and service public safety equipment in fleet vehicles Perform professional 12-volt electrical installations, wiring, and troubleshooting Install mobile computers, docking stations, printers, cameras, automatic license plate readers, and related technologies Install emergency lighting, sirens, switch controllers, and vehicle equipment packages Diagnose and resolve installation issues while maintaining high-quality workmanship Travel to customer sites throughout New Jersey for installations and service calls (minimal only when necessary) Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment Qualifications Preferred Experience 2+ years of emergency vehicle upfitting, fleet installation, or 12-volt electronics experience Experience with police, fire, EMS, or municipal fleet equipment strongly preferred Familiarity with lights, sirens, controllers, and vehicle power management systems Ability to read wiring diagrams and installation schematics Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Requirements High School Diploma or GED Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to travel throughout New Jersey as needed Ability to lift equipment and work inside vehicle interiors for extended periods What We Offer Competitive pay: $25.00-$35.00+ per hour based on experience Full-time schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:00 PM Paid training on new products and technologies Health, dental, and life insurance 401(k) with company matching Paid time off Opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology supporting public safety agencies across New Jersey GTBM, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
