This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in low voltage systems, security technology, and system design to ensure optimal performance and compliance across complex security infrastructures. As a key project leader, you will oversee the inspection, testing, and documentation of various low voltage systems, including access control, CCTV, and telecommunication networks. Your technical proficiency and leadership will drive the successful completion of this critical audit, ensuring systems meet industry standards and client expectations. Duties Lead on-site inspections of low voltage security systems such as access control, CCTV surveillance, sensors, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), and telecommunication wiring. Review and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and system design documents to verify installation accuracy and identify areas for improvement. Conduct comprehensive audits of existing security infrastructure, including cabling integrity, hardware functionality, remote access software configurations, and network connectivity. Utilize hand tools and power tools to perform system testing, troubleshooting electrical issues, and making necessary adjustments or repairs. Document all findings meticulously through detailed reports, including system performance assessments and compliance status. Collaborate with construction teams and service technicians to address identified deficiencies or upgrade requirements during the project timeline. Ensure all work adheres to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards and safety protocols related to low voltage electrical work. Skills Mechanical aptitude combined with experience working with power tools, hand tools, and construction environments. Proven field service experience installing, maintaining, or auditing low voltage security systems such as alarms, sensors, CCTV cameras, and access controls. Strong understanding of computer hardware components related to security infrastructure. Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and system design documentation accurately. Familiarity with IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), surveillance technologies including CCTV cameras and sensors. Knowledge of telecommunication cabling standards (NEC compliant) for secure data transmission. Background in physical security hardware is a plus. Electrical experience related to low voltage wiring installation and troubleshooting is essential. Ability to work independently in construction sites or client facilities while maintaining safety standards.
