Job Description

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Member of Fire Alarm Install Team that performs Fire Alarm Installation per NFPA 72 Standards.
  • Supporting team projects with Programming, pretesting, testing with AHJ. Mentor team members with Fire Alarm Installation, Programming, and troubleshooting, per NFPA 72 Standards.
  • Ongoing Development with Manufacturer training and other resources (may require out of state Travel). Coordinate in house Tech training modules; Programming, Installation, Quality checks.
  • Able to do system change outs.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Run electrical wiring in attics, crawl spaces, and other confined spaces, which can include drilling, trenching and aerial runs.
  • Complete all wiring, connections, and equipment installations ensuring that systems are complete and satisfy customer and contractual requirements.
  • Conducts tests to ensure all newly installed systems and component devices are operational.
  • Troubleshoots new system installations to ensure proper functioning and to ensure system meets local, county, state or federal codes; legal and/or insurance requirements.
  • Ensure a timely job completion.
  • Strong background/knowledge on troubleshooting various Fire Alarm Panels.
  • Standard hours are M-F, but may need to work weekends as customer's require.
  • Occasionally work a rotation with on-call shifts, if/when needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Familiarity with NFPA 72, Nevada Fire Prevention Code, and local building codes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organized, motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Valid Nevada Driver's License with clean driving record.
  • Osha 30

  • Personal Hand Tools
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience on Fire Alarm systems.
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work on ladders and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Detail Oriented
