Fire Alarm Technician Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Technician to join our growing team in Reno, Nevada. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing, servicing, inspecting, troubleshooting, and programming commercial fire alarm systems while ensuring compliance with NFPA standards, local codes, and manufacturer specifications. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong technical skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to provide exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities Install, program, test, inspect, service, and maintain commercial fire alarm systems. Troubleshoot system deficiencies and perform corrective repairs in a timely manner. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation. Complete inspection reports, service records, and customer documentation accurately and on time. Ensure all work complies with NFPA standards, OSHA regulations, and local code requirements. Diagnose and resolve fire alarm panel and system issues. Maintain a professional appearance and provide excellent customer service at all times. Collaborate with team members while also working independently to complete assigned projects efficiently. Qualifications Required Minimum 3 years of experience in fire alarm installation, inspection, service, troubleshooting, or programming. Experience with commercial fire alarm systems. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification. Valid F-Card. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to pass background screening and drug testing, if required. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Preferred NICET Fire Alarm Systems Level I and/or Level II certification. Experience programming and troubleshooting fire alarm control panels.
